New York and Los Angeles based actor, playwright, and screenwriter.

Lena Moore

is a New York and Los Angeles-based performer, playwright, screenwriter, and recent graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program. Onstage, she is best known for her humor, confidence, and proclivity for playing unlikeable characters. As Marcy in Dog Sees God, Lena amused audiences by rapping, dancing on tables, and spitting “vodka” across a table only to slurp it back off her fingers. She is currently performing as the charismatic Chekhovian ingenue Nina in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at The Provincetown Theater in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Within her writing, Lena enjoys telling stories dissecting morality, complex relationships, and vulnerability, exploring these themes across realist and surrealist landscapes. Her newest play Rest Stop was performed at Northwestern University in March of 2025. Outside of theatre, Lena enjoys reading memoirs, baking elaborate cookies, and thrifting for vintage purses.

Rest Stop

Full-Length Play
Cast Breakdown: 4F, 2M, 1M/F/NB

On the side of Highway 101 in Northern California, six travelers find themselves trapped at a rest stop. As they fight to escape, the travelers are forced to traverse grief, investigate fate, and confront the consequences of healing in Lena Moore’s new surrealist drama Rest Stop.

Rest Stop was performed at Northwestern University on March 14th and 15th 2025.

“Stuck somewhere with people they love, “Rest Stop’s” cast of characters are left to face the big questions about life: grief, forgiveness and who they choose to love. Watching these lovable characters seek the answers is a joy as the show shifts so easily from unsettling to heartbreaking to laugh-out-loud funny.”
